And that was June 2025

And that was June 2025

June — the official start of summer, but also the beginning of the sun’s slow retreat.
I love the shift in tempo that comes with this month; everything seems to slow down just before our national holiday, or even a little earlier.
No more theatre, no more opera, no more dance classes and 4-days workweeks !

That’s exactly why I like to take time off around this period — to mark the change of pace in a meaningful way.

A cat in my bag

Miss Purrish wasn’t entirely on board with my plans.
When I go away, my mother visits her every day, but it’s never quite enough: she gets lonely. It’s a bit of a puzzle: she craves affection too much to be left alone, yet she’s no fan of car rides.
A lot of demands for such a small creature who normally sleeps 80% of the day…

Old Québec City

I spent a few days in the Québec City and Charlevoix region, it was a beautiful trip overall, and I hope to share more about it soon.

That said, I’ve developed a dairy allergy over the past year, which made eating out a bit of a challenge.
Maybe I’m just not made for restaurants anymore.

And now, ready to begin the second half of the year!
