July is the month when everyone seems to be on vacation\u2026 except me! As always, I had plenty to keep me both busy and worried. <\/p>\n\n

I still had a unit to rent out for August. And despite all the talk about the housing shortage, it wasn\u2019t easy to find the right tenant. I lost count of how many times I waited for a potential renter who simply never showed up\u2014and stopped responding to messages right when we were supposed to meet! I did manage to find someone in the end, but it was a stressful process. <\/p>\n\n

I also finally decided to have my house insulated from the inside using polystyrene injections. The great thing is that I didn\u2019t have to tear down any walls, but the downside is\u2026 now I have to repaint every single room. I plan to tackle it slowly, one room at a time. It\u2019s a bit discouraging, but I\u2019m trying to break it down into manageable parts to avoid mental overload\u2014just one messy room at a time, a limited scope<\/em>, and staggered expenses. <\/p>\n\n

And for more good news (insert irony here): my car broke down during a torrential downpour. It turned into a brick right in the middle of IKEA\u2019s parking lot. Thankfully, my dad lives nearby and came to jump-start it. I eventually figured out the issue\u2014corroded battery terminals\u2014but since I\u2019m not an expert, I still brought it to the garage to have the alternator and starter checked. That little lack of confidence cost me $40! <\/p>\n\n

Thankfully, my boyfriend tried to pull me out of all this stress. He insisted on taking me biking on the Petit train du Nord<\/em> in the Laurentians. It\u2019s always such a beautiful ride\u2014even if I quickly discovered that my new bike is a torture device in disguise. Oh, did I mention I threw out my back? <\/p>\n\n

That\u2019s July in a nutshell. Summer really does fly by. In just a few days, it\u2019ll already be time for back-to-school season. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
